Job Summary
We are looking for a diligent and efficient Accounts Payable Assistant to join our fast-paced Finance team and support our growing financial needs.
What does this role Involve
This position is a maternity cover fixed term contract for 9 months.
Working in a team of three Accounts Payable Assistants your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Processing all purchase invoices and employee expenses in a timely manner, ensuring coding and approval of invoices is in accordance with company compliance and control policies and procedures
• Managing the payment process for overhead and stock costs, inputting payments onto online banking system and allocating to supplier accounts
• Maintaining the supplier database accurately, including changes of address and payment details
• Reconciling supplier statements to aged creditor reports within the accounting system, identifying and resolving queries with internal team or external suppliers
• Ensuring accurate intercompany balances
• Monitoring AP mailbox
• Exposure to multi currencies e.g. Euro and US Dollar
• General accounts administration
• Assisting with month-end processes;
o Identifying expenses for prepayments and accruals purposes
o Identifying expenses for recharge to other Group companies
o Providing analysis for management and group reporting
What are we looking for
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Previous experience working in accounts payable
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated to work alone and collaboratively with a team
• Import/export experience preferred
• International VAT knowledge desirable
• AAT qualified/part qualified or qualified by experience
• SAP Business One experience desirable
