Job Summary

The Cyber Security Engineer, a member of Asmodee's corporate IT security team, oversees the strategic and operational efforts to safeguard Asmodee’s information systems. In coordination with our CISO, they are responsible for managing cybersecurity projects, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with security standards. Additionally, they ensure effective communication, employee awareness, and responsiveness to emerging threats for Asmodee.

What will your role involve

Security Strategy:  

  • Participates in the drafting and monitoring of IS security standards.  
  • Identifies, proposes and implements solutions that respond to the IS Security Policy. 

 

Implementation: 

  • Establishes and maintains threat mapping. 
  • Identifies activities and implements IT protection tools and techniques within the enterprise framework in the fight against cybercrime. 
  • Ensures the analysis of incident reports and alerts. 
  • Supports the development of: 
    • Business Continuity & Business Resumption Plans. 
    • IT Continuity & IT Recovery Plans. 
    • Data Loss Prevention – protection against data loss/theft. 
  • Proposes corrective actions to remedy IS security malfunctions.  

 

Training and Support:  

  • Supports, advises, and informs projects re: the choice, use, and evolution of security methods, solutions, and standards, as well as in the framing of the security aspect of new projects.  
  • Trains users, technical stakeholders and other operational relays on new technologies and systems, ensuring the proper application of security measures.  
  • Participates in conferences, forums, think tanks to understand how to optimize security rules and scenarios aimed at ensuring the security of information systems.  

What do you bring

Education/Experience 

  • Associate degree in IT or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years cybersecurity experience 
  • Experience with Windows, Apple and Linux operating systems. 
  • Experience with O365, SharePoint, Exchange Online and Active Directory. 
  • Basic scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python. 
  • Experience with cybersecurity common platforms (SIEM, EDR, XDR, firewall, …) is a plus. 
  • Experience with cybersecurity incident management and forensics investigation is a plus. 


 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • A self-starter who can work independently and takes initiative; is flexible, adaptable, organized, collaborative, and team-oriented. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong customer service focus, with good interpersonal skills who is professional, patient and puts people first. 
  • Detail oriented with strong documentation skills. 
  • Seeks to continuously expand technical knowledge. 
  • Understanding of basic server and network technologies. 
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Some evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required.
