Job Summary

This role involves building and maintaining long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of national retailers, developing new business from existing customers, proactively identifying new opportunities and providing outstanding service to ensure customer satisfaction. 

 

The role combines in-depth account management, proactive sales strategies, and a structured approach to expanding asmodee’s footprint within National Retailers.

•    Expanding listings/footprint in store

•    Driving Strategic Campaigns

Key Responsibilities
•    Operating as the main point of contact for a portfolio of assigned accounts, consisting of a range of major national retailers
•    Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with customers   
•    Working with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service and drive efficiency; adapting services and products to meet the customer’s specific 
•    Identifying opportunities to grow business with existing customers, and generating sales by upselling and cross-selling 
•    Taking ownership of customer issues and working swiftly to resolve them to the satisfaction of the customer wherever possible 
•    Using data, analytics and forecasting to drive profitability and manage stock holding
•    Proactively contact customers to make them aware of new & upcoming product releases to increase sales
•    Negotiating with customers including pricing and terms on full season listings and special promotions

What are we looking for

Essential
•    Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused mindset
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed recommendations
•    Strong interpersonal skills with ability to quickly establish rapport and build trust
•    Confident communicator, both verbal and written
•    Adaptable to changing demands and priorities
•    Strong team player but happy to work independently
•    Positive and enthusiastic with a passion to learn and deliver fantastic customer service
•    Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills 
•    Strong IT skills, including intermediate Excel skills to manipulate and analyse data
•    Proactive, in terms of looking at new Sales/Marketing opportunities and understanding new problems
•    Proven experience in sales and account management, preferably as an Account Manager
•    Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of National Accounts and deliver consistent revenue growth
•    Some travel within the UK will be required to attend client sites and trade shows

 

Desirable
•    Interest in gaming
•    Previous experience working with Toy/Games Retail
