Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Warehouse Conveyor Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation and performance of our automated conveyor system. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless flow of goods through the warehouse, managing team resources, resolving operational issues, and acting as the key liaison between warehouse operations, IT, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and has a passion for operational excellence. You will be comfortable balancing people management, system optimisation, and continuous improvement while ensuring the conveyor operation performs safely and efficiently every day.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a continuous improvement mindset to optimise productivity, accuracy, and efficiency across the operation.

What does this role Involve

  • Manage daily operations of the warehouse conveyor system, ensuring a consistent and uninterrupted workflow from inbound loading through to final unloading.
  • Coordinate and allocate staff resources across all areas of the conveyor operation, including:
    • Conveyor loading
    • Picking and packing stations
    • Conveyor unloading
  • Monitor conveyor performance and address operational bottlenecks to maintain efficiency and throughput.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between warehouse operations, IT teams, and other key stakeholders regarding software functionality, system performance, issue resolution, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Investigate and rectify picking and packing discrepancies through the conveyor management interface.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
  • Ensure all conveyor activities are performed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to team members on the conveyor software interface, operational processes, and best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain performance monitoring systems and reporting tools.
  • Establish, track, and drive achievement of operational KPIs relating to productivity, accuracy, efficiency, and service levels.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
