Job Summary

Product & Game Developer for Bezzerwizzer Nordic

Location: Hvidovre, Copenhagen | Type: Full-time | Start: September 1st, 2026

Do you have a sharp eye for what makes a board game click? Can you balance creative mechanics with commercial potential?

We are looking for a Game Developer to join our team. We need someone who can take a raw idea and refine it into a polished, playable product. You will be the bridge between a "good idea" and a "great game experience" asking the right questions, building prototypes, testing, and refining.

As our new Game Developer, you will join a growing department, working directly with our Head of Games. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintaining the vision of a project, ensuring the target audience, mechanics, and user experience all align perfectly.

You will be working on early game ideas, prototypes and the further development of existing game lines. One of the most important aspects of the role will be helping to maintain the overarching vision for the game: Who is the target audience? What kind of gaming experience should we create? What should the product be capable of? How do game mechanics, graphics, user interface and marketing fit together? How do we ensure that the game works both as an experience and as a product?

About Bezzerwizzer Nordic

We are one team with two distinct studio labels:

Bezzerwizzer Studio: Creators of global hits like BEZZERWIZZER, HINT and BrainBox, with over 14 million copies sold. https://bezzerwizzerstudio.com

Dotted Games: Dedicated to our partnership with the LEGO® Group, co-developing innovative titles like Monkey Palace and Brick Like This! https://dottedgames.com

We are proud members of the Asmodee Group, bringing scale and support as a global leader in tabletop gaming with an unparalleled range of games including beloved titles such as Ticket to Ride, CATAN and Exploding Kittens. https://corporate.asmodee.com

What does this role Involve

Your tasks will include

  • Evaluate and Iterate: helping to test and evaluate new game ideas and submitted game designs
  • Prototyping: Build, adapt, and document physical prototypes. This is a practical role involving printing, cutting, and assembling many versions of the same game.
  • Playtesting: Organize and facilitate test sessions, collect feedback, and translate results into actionable improvements.
  • Asset Management: Adjust cards, rules, and UI components using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. You don’t need to be an expert, but you must be keen to learn what you don’t yet know.
  • Physical Game Design: Help define the "table presence" of our products. You will spar with the production team on components and materials to ensure the game is tactile, visually engaging, and practical to manufacture.
  • Collaboration: Work across the company with our editorial, graphics, marketing, and production teams.

How we work

We work iteratively and practically. We build, play, test, tweak and test again. You will be working closely with our Head of Games, so it is important that you are able to take responsibility for your own tasks and are keen to engage in regular discussions. We do not expect you to know everything from day one, but we do expect you to be curious, critical, open to feedback and willing to give feedback.

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working with unfinished ideas, can cope with things changing frequently and sometimes being scrapped and replaced by something new, and are motivated by making a game better through testing and iteration.

What are we looking for

Ideal Qualifications

  • Passionate about games, a curious thinker who love to experiment, play, and create.
  • Knowledgeable in game mechanics, balance, and player psychology.
  • Able to mockup prototypes, preferably using Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.

  • Creative and open-minded. You love finding new ways to make games even more fun.
  • Familiar with basics on graphical design is a big plus.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Understanding Danish is an advantage.

Why join us

We offer

  • A creative and informal work environment with passionate colleagues and a culture of regular team events, joint lunches, and, of course, plenty of gaming sessions.
  • You’ll be part of our studio team of 16 members and a global network of 2,500+ professionals.
  • Flexible 37-hour work week based at our office in Hvidovre with 1-2 days of remote work possible.
  • Salary reflecting your experience and skills.
  • Start: 1/Sep 2026
