Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Field Events Specialist to join our AUSA marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing community events that engage and excite consumers, new and existing. From in-person events to virtual game nights, you’ll help create unforgettable experiences that drive brand loyalty, encourage player interaction, and expand our community to effectively “Make them play!”. You’ll work with various stakeholders across the company to ensure event activities align with overall business goals and enhance the brand experience. What will your role involve

  • Event Planning & Execution: Design and organize a variety of community events, including in-person events, tournaments, meet-ups, virtual events, product launches, and more. Oversee all aspects of event logistics, from concept to execution, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Community Engagement: Build and foster strong relationships with fans, players, influencers, and other members of the board game community. Create interactive experiences that encourage participation, feedback, and positive brand association.
  • Event Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through social media, email campaigns, and other digital channels. Develop strategies to attract new participants and ensure high engagement.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage the budget for each event, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate logistics, equipment and staff for in-person and virtual events.
  • Post-Event Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze feedback from attendees and stakeholders to measure the success of each event. Provide reports on event performance, areas for improvement, and ROI.
  • Content Creation & Community Interaction: Develop engaging content (videos, blog posts, social media updates) around events to maintain excitement and build anticipation. Keep the community informed and involved before, during, and after events.

 

What do you bring

Position Skills & Qualifications

  • Passion for Board Games: A deep enthusiasm for board games, including an understanding of trends, player culture, and the broader gaming community.
  • Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Proficient in event planning software and project management tools.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively engage with diverse groups, including fans, influencers, and team members.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly during events. Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions or last-minute adjustments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, event management software (such as Eventbrite, Whova, or similar platforms), and social media tools.

 

Experience/Education 

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in event management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in event planning or community management, preferably within the board game or entertainment industries. Experience organizing both in-person and virtual events is a plus.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, market conditions and specific work location. Base Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000.
