Job Summary
The Senior Hobby Retailer Relationship Manager will lead and grow our partnerships with tabletop gaming retailers. This role is responsible for nurturing high-value retail accounts, expanding our footprint in the US Hobby Retail market, and championing the voice of the retailer across Asmodee.
Acting as both a trusted advisor and a proactive strategist, the Senior Hobby Retailer Relationship Manager is someone who understands the needs of the gaming community and knows how to translate that into mutually valuable business relationships.
What will your role involve
Retailer Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key retail accounts in the tabletop hobby industry.
- Build long-term relationships grounded in trust, communication, and mutual growth.
- Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and engagement strategies with top-tier US Hobby retailers.
Business Development:
- Identify new retail opportunities across the US and in diverse gaming categories.
- Lead onboarding of new retail partners, including training and Hobby Next promotional alignment.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and logistics teams to support account growth and satisfaction.
Industry Expertise:
- Stay current with gaming trends, release calendars, and retailer/consumer behavior.
- Attend conventions, trade shows, and industry events to represent the company and build network connections.
Strategic Planning & Reporting:
- Develop and execute retailer growth strategies in partnership with Hobby Sales leadership and Trade Marketing, including seasonal promos and pre-order incentives.
- Analyze inventory flow and market trends to forecast needs and opportunities.
- Report on KPIs, account health, and sales pipelines to US Hobby leadership.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Mentor relationship managers and sales representatives on best practices and relationship-building strategies.
- Partner with Forecasting & Purchasing, Trade Marketing, and Events teams to provide retailer-centric feedback and support impactful innovations and meaningful presence in the US Hobby market.
What do you bring
Position Skills & Qualifications
- Deep understanding of the tabletop game retail ecosystem (FLGS, distributors, online retailers, etc.).
- Leadership skills including the ability to grow and develop team members.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Passion for tabletop gaming—whether board games, TTRPGs, miniatures, or CCGs.
- Willingness to travel for retailer visits, trade shows, and events (approx. 5–10%).
Experience/Education
- 5–7+ years of experience in account management, retail partnerships, or sales—preferably within tabletop gaming, hobby retail, or geek culture industries.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, market conditions and specific work location. Base Salary Range: $115,000-$120,000.
