Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned Senior Trade Marketing Manager to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our brand by leading strategic marketing initiatives tailored for the hobby channel, while rapidly growing our market penetration simultaneously.
What will your role involve
Growing overall market penetration via marketing strategy:
- Lead marketing strategy for programs like the Retailer Advocacy Program and Bestsellers Program aimed at building strong, long-term relationships with hobby retailers.
- Identify opportunities to improve retailer engagement, training, and incentives to maximize product placement and sales.
- Collaborate closely with Hobby Sales leadership to ensure alignment on key retailer initiatives and support them in driving growth in the hobby channel.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to refine and optimize the best-sellers program for ongoing growth while translating that into actionable plans for marketing team.
- Act as a key contributor in trade show plans and execution for the events team.
Seasonal Campaigns:
- Plan and execute seasonal marketing campaigns that align with major selling periods (e.g., holiday season, key timeframes, special releases).
- Work cross-functionally with vendor relations and sales teams to ensure alignment on messaging, promotional offers, and in-store experiences during seasonal pushes.
- Manage retail activations, events, and partnerships during peak seasons to maximize brand exposure.
Retailer and Consumer Journey:
- Shape the journey from retailer to consumer, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for both parties.
- Collaborate with the digital and e-commerce teams to ensure consistent messaging and cross-channel support for retail efforts.
- Use consumer insights and feedback to refine trade marketing strategies and ensure alignment with retailer needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales and creative teams to ensure the correct positioning and marketing of products to retailers and consumers.
- Contribute to the development of new products and strategies that resonate within the hobby channel.
- Create concise reports on planned activations and results for Vendor Relations and studios.
- Support the creative and content teams to develop effective marketing materials and campaigns
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing programs, including sales performance, retailer feedback, and consumer response.
- Analyze and present key performance metrics to refine strategies and drive continuous improvements.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on trade marketing performance and market trends.

Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in trade marketing, brand management, or sales within the board game industry or related categories (e.g., toys, entertainment, or lifestyle brands).
- Strong experience with hobby retail channels and consumer-driven marketing campaigns.
- Proven track record in managing successful retail programs and partnerships.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, market conditions and specific work location. Base Salary Range: $95,000-$105,000.
