Job Summary
The Player Engagement Specialist is a mix between community management and organized play for the Studio Big Marketing Team. This person is responsible for designing and executing initiatives that inspire players to choose Z-Man, Office Dog, and Unexpected Games. The ideal candidate has a passion for play, a demonstrated skill for shaping player experiences, and genuine curiosity when it comes to collecting data, reporting outcomes, and implementing player feedback. This is a public-facing role, requiring a professional and brand-appropriate presence at in-person events and on camera.
What will your role involve
- Play board games!
- Lead the vision, development, and execution of studio organized play programs including in-store, conventions, and on BGA
- Design compelling promotional items to be used as player rewards
- Track and report program participation data
- Collaborate with Asmodee’s trade marketing and events teams to bring play experiences to a global audience
- Ensure products are ordered and delivered on-time for activations
- Work closely with the Content Marketing Specialist to craft, execute, and report on player engagement campaigns
- Assist in player communications including answering customer service emails, managing discord channels, and engaging in social media
- Manage multiple, often competing, projects simultaneously and complete them within their scheduled timelines
- Help the studio to determine and stay within approved budgets for play programs and conventions
- Travel to up to six in-person events annually, including internationally, to ensure quality and execution of studio-run initiatives
- Other marketing team support as directed by manager

- Enthusiasm for board games and the community around them
- Strong understanding of human behaviour analysis
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a flare for storytelling
- Ability to take direction and collaborate effectively with teams and individuals
- Ability to prioritze tasks and meet deadlines while working independently
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Maintain a valid passport for international travel
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design, Education, Marketing, or related
- A demonstrated understanding of designing play programs
- 5+ years playing and loving strategy board games
- Participation in 10+ game-centered conventions
- Experience attending in-store events at your LGS

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, market conditions and specific work location. Base Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000.
