Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and results-oriented Performance & Digital Marketing Specialist with a passionate focus on crowdfunding campaigns. Your core mission will be to drive traffic, conversions, and long-term backer retention through strategic ad spend, data-driven insights, and targeted marketing. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the success of crowdfunding projects, from pre-launch strategies to post-campaign customer acquisition. 

As an expert in performance marketing and crowdfunding funnels, you’ll collaborate closely with creative teams, campaign managers, and analytics platforms to optimize every stage of the backer journey. If you have a proven track record of delivering ROI-positive campaigns and scaling crowdfunding initiatives, this role is for you! 

What will your role involve

Crowdfunding Campaign Management 

  • Pre-Launch Preparation: Build and manage effective pre-launch funnels, leveraging lead ads to grow email lists and craft warm audiences in preparation for campaign launches. 
  • Launch Strategy Execution: Design and execute day-one conversion strategies to maximize early backer momentum, ensuring campaign funding goals are rapidly achieved. 
  • Platform Expertise: Work with crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter, Gamefound, and BackerKit Ads to analyze campaign data, monitor performance, and identify opportunities to improve ROI. 

Paid Advertising & Retargeting 

  • Targeted Ad Spend: Plan, execute, and optimize campaigns on platforms like Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Ads, and YouTube pre-roll to drive traffic and backer engagement. 
  • Pixel Setup & Retargeting: Leverage retargeting pixels and build Lookalike audiences to efficiently re-engage potential backers and increase lifetime value (LTV). 
  • A/B Testing & Real-Time Adjustments: Continuously run A/B tests on ads, landing pages, and creative assets, analyzing data to adapt campaigns dynamically for optimal results. 

Analytics and Optimization 

  • Campaign Insights: Use analytics tools such as Google Data Studio, BackerKit Ads, and Meta Business Suite to track performance, derive actionable insights, and present findings in a clear and concise manner after each campaign or marketing push to key stakeholders. 
  • Funnel Optimization: Refine the crowdfunding funnel, from lead generation to post-campaign acquisition, based on campaign performance data and user behavior metrics. 
  • Budget Strategies: Manage ad budgets efficiently, focusing on delivering strong ROAS and finding cost-effective growth opportunities. 

Key Skills and Traits

  • Crowdfunding Expertise: 5+  years of experience in the marketing or Crowdfunding space with a a deep understanding of crowdfunding funnels, including pre-launch lead ads, day-one backer momentum, and post-campaign customer conversion. 
  • Ad Platform Mastery: Proven experience managing campaigns on Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Ads, YouTube pre-rolls, and retargeting platforms. 
  • Analytics Savvy: Skilled in tools such as Kickstarter/Gamefound analytics, BackerKit Ads, Google Data Studio, and Meta Business Suite to monitor and optimize campaigns. 
  • Retargeting & LTV Optimization: Expertise in setting up retargeting strategies, Lookalike audiences, and optimizing campaigns for lifetime value. 
  • A/B Testing & Agility: Comfortable running A/B tests and making real-time data-driven adjustments to improve performance. 
  • Creative Thinking: Ability to collaborate with creative teams to deliver compelling ads and landing pages that inspire action. 
  • Holistic Marketing Skills: Familiarity with SEO strategies, email automation workflows, and post-campaign growth tactics. 
  • Adaptability: Highly flexible and able to pivot quickly when working in the fast-paced environment of crowdfunding campaigns.
