Job Summary
Please note, this role is for VR Distribution (offices in Plymouth). We have x2 Sales Account Manager roles available. This is a home-based/hybrid role depending on your location.
This role involves building and maintaining long-term, trusting relationships with customers. The purpose of this role is to oversee a portfolio of independent retailers, developing new business from existing customers, proactively identifying new opportunities, and providing outstanding service to ensure customer satisfaction.
What does this role Involve
• Operating as the main point of contact for a portfolio of assigned accounts, consisting of a range of independent retailers, in the UK and overseas.
• Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with customers.
• Working with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service and drive efficiency; adapting services and products to meet the customer’s specific needs.
• Identifying opportunities to grow business with existing customers and generating sales by upselling and cross-selling.
• Taking ownership of customer issues and working swiftly to resolve them to the satisfaction of the customer wherever possible.
• Proactively contact customers to make them aware of new & upcoming product releases to increase sales.
What are we looking for
• Previous experience as an Account Manager or within a Sales role.
• Previous experience in business development and opening new accounts.
• A strong understanding of all Microsoft Office applications.
• A great problem-solver.
• Proactive in identifying new sales opportunities with existing customers.
• Adaptable to changing demands and priorities.
• The ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish rapport and build trust with customers.
• A passion for learning and a drive to deliver excellent customer service.
